Whether it's freshwater fishing or saltwater fishing, Alabama has many opportunities for anglers.  Alabama supports 11 million angler fishing days with expenditures of three-quarters of a billion dollars.  It is the "Year of Alabama Sports," join in the fun!

The Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division manages, protects, conserves and enhances the freshwater fishing resources of Alabama including 47 reservoirs larger than 500 acres that cover 551,220 acres, 23 Alabama State Public Fishing Lakes, and 77,000 miles of perennial rivers, streams and the Mobile Delta.  Or search for a place to fish in your area of Alabama.  The Division offers technical assistance to Alabama pond owners.

The Alabama Bass Trail features 11 premiere bass fishing lakes--Lake Guntersville, Wheeler Lake, Pickwick Lake, Lewis Smith Lake, Neely Henry Lake, Logan Martin Lake, Lay Lake, Lake Jordan, Alabama River, Lake Eufaula, and the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta.

Marine Resources Division manages the estuaries and saltwater resources along Alabama’s Gulf Coast. The division manages Alabama's marine fisheries resources with assessment and monitoring, applied research, and enforcement programs.  Marine Resources offices on Dauphin Island and in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
