Additional Common Names: In the southeast, anglers also call bullhead catfish: bullheads, mud cats, pollywogs, pollies, Mutleys, river cats, horned pouts, horn pout, according to Cloutman and Olmstead in Fisheries (Vol. 8, No. 2).
