Coastal Training Program
The Coastal Training Program (CTP) provides the most current science-based information, tools, and techniques to improve coastal decision-making in Alabama. It does this through a variety of trainings that include workshops, hands-on and field activities, and interactive web-based exercises.
The key issues addressed are:
• reduction of non-point source pollution
• land use management practices
• protection of water resources
• preservation of biodiversity
• management of invasive species
Each CTP event is designed to:
• enhance effective networking and
collaboration across disciplines
• increase understanding of the social,
economic, and environmental impacts
of human activity
• promote stewardship within the
coastal landscape
