Conservation Advisory Board Meets May 20 in Gulf Shores

The Alabama Conservation Advisory Board will meet Saturday, May 20, 2006, at the Erie Meyers Civic Center in Gulf Shores, AL. This is the third meeting of the Advisory Board during 2006. Registration for those wishing to address the board will be from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The meeting will begin promptly at 9 a.m.

The Conservation Advisory Board assists and advises on matters relating to the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. The Board is composed of 10 members appointed by the governor for alternating terms of six years, and three ex-officio members in the persons of the Governor, the Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries, and the Director of the Cooperative Extension System. The Commissioner of Conservation and Natural Resources serves as the ex-officio secretary of the Board.
